Do not Destroy, Build. Do not Build, Plant!

"In his or her life, each person can take one of two attitudes: to build or to plant. Builders may take years over their tasks, but one day they will finish what they are doing. Then they will stop, hemmed in by their own walls. Life becomes meaningless once the building is finished. Those who plant suffer the storms and the seasons and rarely rest. Unlike the building, a garden never stops growing. And by its constant demands on the gardener's attentions, it makes the gardener's life a great adventure." ~ Paulo Coelho in Brida
This is the Tree of Life. Which is the Shadow? Which is the Tree? Which are the roots? Which are the branches? Which part is alive? Where is the Source of Life? What is the meaning of Life?
Think these questions are a waste of time? Or that Life has no meaning?
"Warriors of Light frequently ask themselves what they are doing here.
Very often they believe their lives have no meaning.
That is why they are Warriors of Light.
Because they make mistakes.
Because they ask questions.
Because they continue to look for a meaning.
And, in the end, they will find it."
~ Paulo Coelho in Manual of the Warrior of Light
Think you are too insignificant to make a difference? Or that planting trees are a waste of time? Please read The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono.

Alex, this is so profound. Mirror images, tree of life, I think the answer is both - Moni
alex, thanks for sharing great quotation of Paul Coheno.
Hmm. Paulo Coehlo - one of my absolute favorites. Thanks for sharing and leading me to searching my soul. I love the soul searching process - because I always love the beauty I find. And, I agree that any “little” thing we can manifest that's in alignment with our souls has the ability to spread seeds and blossom beyond all that we can imagine. Thanks for sharing, Alex.
